February 15, 2024 - We are thrilled to share the outstanding news that our district's 2023-2024 TIA designations, submitted based on the 2022-2023 teacher effectiveness data, have been approved for the second consecutive year!

• System-Wide Success: Our TIA designation system has once again received full approval from Texas Tech University and TEA, proving to be a valid and reliable system for designating teachers.

• Teacher Inclusion and Retention: We are proud to welcome 331 new teachers into the TIA system, alongside the 84 pilot teachers who have continued in teaching positions. This brings the total number of TIA designated/pending teachers continuing in teaching positions to an impressive 416, which is a 96% retention rate!

• Financial Commitment: Over the next five years, our designated teachers will collectively receive an estimated $4.3 million annually, provided they continue to meet annual requirements. This financial commitment underscores our district's pledge to invest in and support our educators.

This success is a testament to the collaborative efforts of our entire school community, including the hard work of our teachers, the dedication of school leadership, cross-department collaboration from HR and Finance to C&I and Accountability and Compliance, the department at the helm of our TIA initiative. With the ongoing support of our school board and district leadership, we are confident that the TIA will not only recognize, reward, and retain our educators but will also contribute significantly to the continued excellence of our district.
